HSE Systems Lead

Sterling Recruitment Services have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned QHSE Systems lead to join our client based in Middlesbrough.

The QHSE Systems Lead will work to ensure a continued improvement in the standards of Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.  They will maintain and improve ISO9001 and support functional leads with the maintenance of ISO45001 and ISO14001.
As part of a team manage and audit the supply chain for critical components and supplies.

Main job responsibilities:
Supports QHSE management strategies, processes and systems.
Supports quality control team in inspections and quality processes to ensure standards are achieved.
Support Quality Control with ITP and Documentation requirements (Per client requirements)Along with other leads directs the deployment and improvement of QHSE Management Systems, ensuring that processes, procedures and responsibilities meet stakeholder requirements.
Provide assistance, training and communicate company QHSE policies to all staff Co-Chair the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment committee Anticipates regulatory conditions, ensuring products are developed and manufactured in compliance with applicable regulations.
Provide information and guidance to the management team Deploys QHSE metrics and leads efforts to track metrics accurately.
Conduct internal and external audits – identify and communicate the areas requiring corrective or improvement action.
Manage Non-Conformance process including investigations using 5 whys, Ishikawa and 8D and review materials certification (materials control) prior to submission to the documents team.
Envisions continuous improvement practices to group QHSE programs, driving standardisation opportunities, methodology development and supplier empowerment programs.
Champion the continuous development and management of processes required for QHSE operations.
Implements, maintains, and audits plant, systems, processes, procedures in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Monitors the effectiveness of QHSE programs to ensure compliance with business principles, policies, and standards of the company.

Experience, skills and qualifications required for the role:
Educated to Degree level in relevant field desired.
Possess a quality certification such as auditor, PCQI or similar.
Proven experience in QHSE (QM) management activities within the energy, renewable energy, natural resources, or construction management sector.
Desirable experience of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
Experience of implementing Integrated Systems is desirable.
Excellent knowledge of world class quality assurance and manufacturing methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.
Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Expert knowledge of QHSE Management Systems.
